Current & Recent Projects
The Historic
Places Intitiative.
I have prepared over
100 reports for the Historic Places Initiative, a National program
documenting
Canada's Municipal, Provincial and Federal Heritage Sites.
Special
Places
Projects
Special
Places Projects were developed by the Historic Resources Branch as a
method of creating Community Inventories of Heritage Resources and
subjecting the sites to an analysis process that will help communties
protect and use their heritage resources to best advantage. I
piloted the first projects in 5 communities in 2008. As of 2011 I
have produced Special
Places Projects for 14
Urban and Rural
Communities in Manitoba.

Pivotal
Events Projects aims to identify and explore the main themes

help
communities recognize, explore, celebrate and promote the heritage
assets that every community has. We have completed such projects in

Educational
Materials Projects
Here our
aim is to identify resouces that will assist teachers in their
efforts to incorporate local history into their prgrams. The result is
a binder with a collection of maps, photos, documents along with
suggestions for use. The project is a link between the school system,
the local museum and the heritage projects a community has completed.
