The Young Family

Young Family Tree

This comprehensive family tree traces the descendants of  William Young (1782 - 185) and May Nicol.

My copy came from my mother, Iris Eloise (Storie) Young, a direct descendant of William Young through his son John Young (1825 - 1906)  of Blythe On.   As far as I know it was prepared by someone in the Todd family from Greenway Mb. , also descendants.

See, "
The Todds and Youngs - Greenway Pioneers"

The document in in the form of 7, 11" x 17"  hand printed pages which I've presented her as JPEGs for viewing and PDF's for downloading.

I've also tried to present a bit of a navigation guide.

The lines of three of William's offspring are traced here. Andrew (b. 1819) who lived in Lachute Quebec, Thomas (1821 - 1909) who came to Greenway in 1909 and from whom the Todds of Greenway are decended, and Elizabeth, also from Lachute Quebec.

John (1825-1906) who married Rosemary Dale was easily the most "productive" of William's children. Two his offspring occupy almost all of the rest of the document. Part of Page 1 and 2 contain the records of Martha Young and Her Husband William E. Young. (Second example of a Young - Young union). They came to Cypress River.

Page 6 features Andrew Young and Annie Berry, parents of our Grandfather William J. Young and the rest of our whole dubious lot. It also contains another of John and Rosemary's offspring,  Daniel who settled in Gilbert PLains Mb.

Four more of John and Rosemary's less fertile children fill less than half of Page 7, leaving the remainder to two more offspring of the family founders William and May - William and Alexander.
