Chapter 4: The Empty Nest : Page 2 /  Winnipeg 2001

In the summer of 2001, I took an early retirement package from Souris Valley School Division. We moved to Winnipeg where Bev returned to the insurance business. As part of my early retirtement incentive package I couldn't wotk in the provincial school system for a period of a year.  But I was able to take a job with Sergeant Tommy Prince School in Scanterbury - a federal reserve school.
We rented an apartment on the 9th floor of 600 Setter St. near Sturgeon Creek, just off Portage.

As Bev's job was downtown, we moved to 555 Colony Square, just a block away from The Bay.
Here's the view from our 16th floor balcony. I car-pooled to Scanterbury with Jennifer Johnson.

Geoff was attending Robertson Broadcasting College while we lived in Winnipeg. He graduated in Jan of 02

We celebrated Donna's 50th birthday by spending a night at the Walkinshaw Bed and Breakfast in the Turtle Mountains.

Donna and Dave joined us for a night.

We made a summer trip to Christina Lake.
