Homes Through the Years
1. Dutch Mill Bakery Suite - March - June, 1969
1233 Rosser Avenue - Former Dutch Mill Bakery. Our first residence was
a basement suite accessed via a door in the back lane.
2. The Figol's House - June, July 1969
Our second home was a basement suite in one of these houses on 12th
Street.
3. Wilton Place, Wpg. August 1969 - Jan. 1970
We moved to Winnoipeg in mid-summer. We stayed with John & Shirley
Laczko until we got jobs and took a apartment on Grant Ave, next to
the new Grant Park Shopping Centre where we both worked.
4. Franklin Street - Feb. June 1970
When we moved back to Brandon we rented what used to be a shop attached
to a house on Franklin Street. It was a bit worse for wear when we
visited in 2018.
5. 602 19th Street - July 1970 - Nov. 1971
On July 1st, 1970 we moved into the basement of this house. Ed and
Dorothy Curtis owned it.
6. 642 - 14th. Nov 1971 - Nov 1972
We were comfortable in the basement on 19th but with a baby on the way
we wanted two bedrooms. We had the second floor - very roomy.
7. Douglas Street - Nov. 1972 - June 1973
For Ken's last year of University we were able to get into the new
Public Housing on Douglas Street. $42 per month! We were saving to go
to England in the spring.
Our only "home" for July & August of 1973 was on Hecla Island where
Ken was working. When Bev and Jonah weren't here they stayed with our
parents.
8. Princess Harbour -
1973 - 1975.

9. Ninette - Aug. 1975 - June 1976
We bought this mobile when we moved to Ninette and purchased
the lot.
While at Ninette we bought our first car.
10. 20 Alpine Bay - August 1976 - May 1977
When moved back to Brandon in the summer 1976 we lived on Alpine
Bay in the Hillside Town Houses.
We were into building furniture and re-finishing antiques. Wish we
still had that walnut table.
11. Riverview Apartments - May - October, 1977
The next summer we moved a short distance to Riverview Apartments - the
rent was cheaper.

12. Napinka - Oct 1977 - Nov. 1978
The house was owned by the Lindblooms. When I took the job at Melita,
Bill Warren, who also lived in Napinka, found it for us.

13. Bruce
Street, Melita - Nov. 1978 - March 1979
After living in Naklina for a year we rented a house in Melita. It has
since been torn down

Duplex - April 1979 - May 1980
We rented in a new duplex from Art Penno.

We bought this home just down the street from the school, in 1980.
1981 - our first computer.
16. Strathclair - 1982 - 85
We bought a mobile and set it up on a rented lot.
17. Cypress River - 1985 - 88
We bought a comfortable small home on a large lot and renovated it.
18. Kirkham Crescent, 1988 - 89
We rented this home when we moved to Brandon.
19. 222 Cater Drive, 1990 - 95
Purchased in 1990.
20. 438 Second Street, 1995 - 98
We did extensive renovations.
21. 404 - 11th Street, 1998 - 2000

10th Floor 1 Bedroom Apartment.
23. View from Setter Street- Winnipeg - For a few months in 2011 - when
Bev got a job downtown, we moved to be near her work.
