On the Road
July 7th: Left about 1PM, stayed in the Dryden Comfort Inn
8th: Breakfast at McDonalds. Gas at Ursala.
Supper at Wawa. Sault Ste. Marie - Super 8
9th: Passed Sturgeon Falls. Rigaud (Near Montreal) - supper in and outdoor cafe. New - no-name hotel.
10th: Drove through Montreal for about an hour. Took tunnel under the St. Lawrence. Stopped for photos of Quebec City from Levi.
Quebec
Stayed in Ste. Anne DuMont on the St. Lawrence. Great cod supper. Hotel beside river. Slept with door open and waves crashing.
New Brunswick - PEI
Stopped at Dalhousie NB.
12th. Stopped at Murray Corner Beach - - view of Confederation Bridge. Crossed the bridge.
Swam near Cavendish in the early evening. Camped nearby- view of the water.
East Point Lighthouse - lunch & souvenirs.
Souris PEI
Arrived in Charlottetown at 2PM. Supper in an outdoor cafe.
14th: Downtown. Drove to North Cape.
New Brunswick & Nova Scotia
Back across the Confederation Bridge ($35) Motel at Wentworth NB.
15th: Met Donna and Dave. Rafted the Shubenacadie Tidal Bore. Comfort Inn in Truro.
16th: Cabot Trail Drive.
Stayed at Ingonish - view of the water. Supper by the sea.
Near Canso
17th. Glace Bay. Ferry to Port Hawkesbury. Walked to Canso Causeway
Saw the Tall Ships pass through the bridge that swings out. Port Hastings.
18th: Stopped at a Laundromat at Half Island Cove. Ferry. Dartmouth Hotel.
19th: Halifax: Holiday Inn. Walked the Waterfront. Lunch. Supper
South From Halifax...
20th: Road to Peggy's Cove
Breakfast and Tourist Shop at Peggy's Cove
The Ovens.
Lunenburg. Yarmouth. Supper - lobster.
21st: Brakes repaired. Shopping in Yarmouth.
Drove north - past Five Islands
Motel at Amherst NB. Supper downtown.
22nd: Moncton. AM. St.John's at 1PM. Reversing Falls. Great lunch downtown. Hopwell Rocks.
Frederickton in the PM - nice city also. Walked. Drove to Woodstock NB. Very neat clean city.
23rd: Longest covered bridge. Grand Falls. Levi. Montreal by 4PM. Arnprior. Motel and supper on deck.
24th: Back throught SSM - stopped at a beautiful sandy beach on Superior. Mattawa for gas. Wawa for the night.
25th: Long drive - home by 10:30.
