summer of 2003 found us returning to Brandon after
a year in
Grenfell, and before that, a year in Winnipeg.
Before we had even moved in, I encountered my old friend Joe Stamper
at, of all places, a beer store. He was there with another veteran
Brandon musician, Ed Verinder, and as soon as I told him of our plans
to return to Brandon, Joe said, "Hey you should join our band."
What could I say?
Turns out that Joe and Ed along with another friend and ex-band mate,
Dave Laco had joined forces with Randy Vanrobaeys (long story - but
he's an uncle to Kelsey Schoobaert and was part of the original Armadillo), and they called
themselves 45 R.P.M. The name said it all.
